About Me

I have been writing for as long as I can remember. Despite being born and bred in a Bengali family, and in Kolkata itself, I have always been more of an English guy. Blame the colonial masters, not me.
In any case, my escapades in literature began with writing fanfics and cheap knock-offs of books I had read and liked. This was not particularly difficult; as a child who was inhaling encyclopedias at the age of four, I was head and shoulders above my reading level anyway.
My real breakthrough, however, came when I grew a bit older and stepped foot into the world of blogging. Not only did the constant SEO and writing help hone my skills, but it also encouraged in me a keen grasp of current affairs and a healthy inquisitive temper. After some stints writing articles for various magazines, I finally decided to enter genre fiction. And the rest, as they say, is history.
At present, a few of my short stories have been published into the mainstream. I have also written articles, fact-based case reports, news pieces, and even the occasional scientific paper! My ongoing project is a contemporary paranormal fantasy series, 'The Staff of Dattatreya'.
